Adegan Crystals - Products of a More Elegant Time

Long before Ilum, long before the trials. We had to journey to the Adegan system. This is where a Jedi would find and bind a crystal to their cause. Unlike modern times, you wouldn't trip over them on your journey. These still had to be mined, refined and cut to the proper shape to work. But it was all the better for it. That time, that focus and mental energy would just be absorbed by the crystal. Long after a Jedi would pass, their crystals would still hold echoes of their life force - a unique trait to those harvested from the Adegan system.
Not all were of the same strength, either. Many would only work as training sabers. You might remember those from the younglings. The most common used for Jedi was Mephite. These would power a saber and channel the will of the wielder with ease. And for the exceptional Master, you might find the rare Pontite variant. These were rumored to be so in line with the Force that they could channel the thoughts of multiple masters. These are old but powerful crystals. The marks of use are shown on them, sometimes even showing a fracture inside the crystal itself. Unlike Ilum crystals, you can feel a personality and a weight of age as you bond with it. The more you grow in the force, the more you'll feel it calm you, cool you in the heat of battle. Such a unique thing. Shame, they were tossed aside in favor of the easily available crystals from Ilum. We thought they were only available in blue and green but some recent hauls have shown other colors as well. Who could have known? Cherish it if you ever find one, youngling.
